Looking for more information about forums dedicated to Play-by-Post (PbP) gaming? This is the place to find details about specific PbP forums. Play-By-Post is the concept of playing a roleplaying game by means of an online forum or message-board system. GMs and players meet up, communicate, and play online at a variety of play-by-post sites.
Comparison of Sites by Site Characteristics
Pretty much every play-by-post site out there will claim to have a wonderful community, helpful staff, knowledgeable members, open-ness to all comers, and be "a great place to be." Luckily, the vast majority of these claims are true -- most play-by-post sites are filled with nice people. Unfortunately, this doesn't help outsiders and newcomers pick between the many options.
However, play-by-posts sites do differ in terms of what features and tools they offer to make the gaming experience easy. To help GMs and players pick the sites that suit their needs through a comparative look at what each of the Play-by-post sites have to offer, the tables below provide descriptions of the essential play-by-post characteristics of the major play-by-post sites.
