I’m actually pretty bummed that I’m not running anything at the moment, because that means I can’t try this myself from a GM’s POV. It’s definitely on my list for my next game, though, unless it’s something that just doesn’t lend itself to factions.

Right now, though, I can’t wait for Turn 2 in Gospog’s game!

Unfortunately since posting, the 4th and final faction has been spoken for.

While this is very exciting for me, I’m sorry to say that it means that I’m not recruiting Evil Overlords right now.

If that ever changes, I will post to the EORB Forum.

ADDENDUM: Since posting this, my third Evil Overlord sent his completed form in, complete with a new NPC and article for the Metropolitan Times.

“Since you’re talking bi-weekly sessions, can we get a report around the end of January?”

I’ll try to remember. If someone wants to PM me around then, it would help. January is a birthday-filled crazy month in our house.

But I will certainly try to keep you all posted.

I like the pseudo-system you came up with. It’s enough to keep things in some kind of order, but not too much to bog down over email.

I’m looking forward to hearing how things go. Since you’re talking bi-weekly sessions, can we get a report around the end of January? (4-5 sessions in.)

That sounds really, really freaking cool. I’ve loved the idea, but I don’t think it’s something I’m ready to implement in my own campaign (yet).

Here’s an idea… Maybe there could be a “faction recruitment” forum, where people could post that they were looking for others to run factions in their games, or even post that they’d like to run a faction. I know I’d be really interested in running one. Kind of like PBEM but not as complicated…
