Dungeon Magazine Index on Intwischa.com

Intwischa.com has gone live with a beta version of their Dungeon Magazine index, and Charlie, who created the index, has done a bang-up job.

The beta version is searchable, can be filtered by level and setting (so if you need a 5th level module for Greyhawk, you can find one), includes a blurb describing each adventure’s contents (very handy!) and even shows you the cover of each issue.

This index grew out of a post here on TT (Resurrecting the Dungeon Index?), and Charlie has run with the idea and produced a very cool resource for GMs. Not just GMs who run D&D, either — with a bit of tweaking, Dungeon adventures can be used for other RPGs, too.

    Thanks for the post, Martin! This project grew out of the work you did on maintaining the Excel version of the index. I’m pleased with how it is shaping up, and have many plans to make it more useful in the future.

    Ok Charlie, that’s just cool. Nice code implementation. I’d love to see the original excel version, Martin.

    It almost makes me wish I ran DND games, and owned all of dungeon magazine. I might use it to find some good adventures and then mod them though.

    One of the features coming for 1.0 is a downloadable index, similar to what Martin provided. While it won’t be as nifty as the online version, it should be useful to GMs who frequently run games in the middle of the Sahara where they don’t have internet access. *grin*

    Update–Issues 18 through 139 are now indexed. We’re almost at 100%!

    My fingers are tired, but we’ve now got issues 1 through 139! I’m looking forward to starting to do some actual programming instead of data entry again! :)
