Treasure Tables is on hiatus as of December 13th, 2007 -- after two years of daily posts, I needed a break. If you're looking for GMing material, I have two recommendations: the hundreds of posts in TT's archives, and my new project, the multi-author GMing blog Gnome Stew. Happy GMing! -- Martin

TT Enters GenCon Mode

Tue. August 8, 2006

I’ll be at GenCon Indy from August 9th-13th, gaming, shopping and seminaring my little heart out.

That means I won’t be able to respond to comments or email, but it doesn’t mean TT will go dark for five days! Thanks to the magic of WordPress, I’ve cued up posts for every day that I’ll be away.

I’ll be posting my annual convention photo gallery when I get back (previous years are all on my photo site, 3d6.org), as well as catching up on everything here.

Have a great time without me, and I’ll see you after the con!

I wonder how the threads will do without you; we seem to get one good spate before you come in and redirect/focus. It’ll be interesting to see what happens while you’re away.

Or, sometimes, one good spate before I make a comment and discussion drops dead. ;) I’m never sure why that is, so I try not to worry about it.

It’s a useful reminder that the comments are often the best part of the posts here, which I love. I learn a lot from the comments. :)

I like the fact that there are multiple different gming viewpoints here. Everyone seems to bring something a little different, and the more viewpoints that can break me out of my biases as a GM the better. I’m almost always checking back later in the day to see what kind of updates there are to the comments.

Yes, I return with interest too– you never know what interesting path the comments will take.
