I actually just heard about Fold the other day, and it does look pretty neat. I particularly like the fact that it lets you spool in RSS feeds.

I'm glad that so many people are enthusiastic about using online desktops!

Here is one that I missed in the article because it has only recently entered open beta testing. Fold (http://www.fold.com) seems to be an excellent online desktop to keep your eye on. It currently works only in FireFox, but otherwise it seems to have a lot of flexability to it. Not as flashy as eyeOS, but very solid feeling already.

This looks very cool -- I've been hoping to find this sort of virtual desktop for a while, but never stumbled across these particular options. While I don't know if I'd use it in my current game, I've been kicking around some ideas for an online one, and I think this could be very useful for that. I'm definitely going to spend some time playing with it.

This sounds so exciting and useful. I can't wait for the day I can afford a laptop and bring it to the game table.
(Starts counting pennies.)

I have been watching the development of EyeOS for a few months now. I have toyed installing it and using for games, and after reading this article I may give it a shot. It solves several issue I have as giving me a work space where I can make little notes and such.

As for replacing the Wiki, my use of TiddlyWiki would still continue. I just love the way it arranges my session notes. But I like the idea of using frames to bring up websites that I use often, like the Hyperlinked SRD.

I am going to sign up for an EyeOs account and see how it works as a player and as a GM.

I've never used one, but it seems like a neat idea. It certainly looks easier than setting up a collaborative wiki.

Wait, I know that website in that screenshot...:-D

Excellent ideas, it could be very useful, especially if you do a lot of travelling around and don't always have access to your notes. Or if you don't have a laptop.
