Treasure Tables is on hiatus as of December 13th, 2007 -- after two years of daily posts, I needed a break. If you're looking for GMing material, I have two recommendations: the hundreds of posts in TT's archives, and my new project, the multi-author GMing blog Gnome Stew. Happy GMing! -- Martin

Greg Stolze Ransoms a GMing Article

Sat. January 7, 2006

Game designer Greg Stolze has opened donations for Greg’s Ultimate GM Article (no direct link, sorry!), which sounds interesting.

The ransom: $675 (when he gets $675 in donations, you can download the article for free). (Via the Forge.)

I’ve already dropped $10 towards the Cause. I hope everyone else puts in $5 or something. I’m really interested to what he’s got to say.

Personally, I’d like a 1-3 page PDF preview of the article.

I respect Greg Stolze, and I’m definitely interested in seeing what he has to say about GMing — but I’m very much a “browse before I buy” kind of guy.

I’d be all for paying except for two slight problems:
    1) I have no way to know if it’s any good yet
    2) I am broke

As you can probably tell, the latter is the bigger problem here. Oh well, I guess I’ll only have to wait $675. Maybe this is what I get for being one of the early supporters for ransomware?

masterzora: What other ransomware have you supported? Was it a satisfying experience?

Martin: Okay, that didn’t come across the exact way I meant. I have always been too broke for it, but I tell people about it often (and tell them to support it so I can get the freebies :) I can say that part is satisfying). I guess I can’t cite anything specific, but I wholly support the model.
